John SubyThis is an important weekend for the Lions of Wisconsin. The 2014 Wisconsin Lions State Convention is being held at Kalahari Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells.

The Lions Pride Endowment Fund will be represented by our Chairman, PCC Dewey Carl and Executive Director, Lion Geri Schlender. Dewey is looking forward to presenting four new and one progressive Ray Hempel Fellowships.

We are proud to announce that after last year’s great presentation, Lions Pride Endowment Fund Vice President, John Suby has been asked to reprise his presentation on Planned Giving in a special break out session. John Suby is a shareholder and president of John F. Suby & Associates, S.C. accounting firm, cornerstone of The Suby Group, which encompasses three companies, offering a combination of accounting and wealth management services. He has made estate planning and business succession planning the focus of his practice. John is an Investment Advisor Representative as well a CPA. John has been a fixture in Madison’s financial community for 40 years. He was Co-Founder and former Chairman of the Board Emeritus at Suby, Von Haden & Associates, S.C. Beyond his service to Lions Pride, he also has served as Chairman of Lutheran Social Services Foundation of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.

John Suby has always been the “go-to” guy for clients and community and we are pleased he is able to share his expertise at this year’s Lions State Convention. If you are going, you won’t want to miss John’s session “Protecting Your Family, Providing for Your Wishes” on Friday at 1:30 pm in the South Atrium, Suite C. John will lead a discussion on planning for your legacy. Discover how estate planning also includes the process of accumulating, preserving and distributing assets to achieve your financial goals during your lifetime and to provide for your heirs. After all estate planning is about more than numbers.

John has been actively involved in Lions Pride since its inception; he and his wife Donna are ardent supporters of Lions Pride and continue to make a donation each year.

If you are unable to attend, email or call (715-677-7000) the Lions Pride Office and we will be happy to send you information on Planned Giving. You can also find planned giving information on our website.
